We're playing a gig this Sunday (8th July) at the fabulous Wenlock Arms in North London. The event is a fundraiser going under the heading of "Send My Missus to Africa", and is to raise money for our singer Tony's wife Wendy, who will be volunteering in Africa later on this year. Wendy will be heading to Tanzania in September/October to do some voluntary work for the Forever Angels charity, who run a home for up to 50 orphaned and abandoned babies on the shores of Lake Victoria. It's a worthy cause, and a great thing that Wendy is doing. We'll be playing from about 6pm, doing two sets, so come down and help us raise the roof as well as a decent sum of money. We'll be donating generously, hope you all will too! If you can't make it on Sunday, but would like to contribute to the cause, you can do so online at Wendy's Just Giving page.

Turned out to be another uproarious, sweaty and thoroughly enjoyable EWB gig at the Wenlock, with a very impressive £1300 raised for Forever Angels. Well done everyone who put a few quid in the hat, and thanks also to the pub management who contributed a generous proportion of the total. By way of clarification, the Rowletts have already covered the expenses of Wendy's trip themselves, so all of the money is going straight to the baby home in Mwanza.
