We've just added a clip of our cover of the Harry Belafonte classic "Jump In The Line" to the Videos page. This was filmed at our latest rehearsal, on Tuesday 26th April.

Look out for the upright bass stylings of our Bobby in centre screen, a technique that comes in handy when we play at some of the smaller venues!

We're all gearing up for the Bowery gig on the 10th May. It should be a cracker! Entry to the gig is free, and we're the headline band, so expect a nice long set full of all the classics. We've also been working on a few new songs, which are already sounding pretty tight and will add further variety to our sound. We'll be debuting some of these at the Bowery.

New drummer Martin is settling in very well indeed, and the range of sounds and rhythms he gets from his kit add a great new element to the band. The tunes are sounding better than ever before!

We've been doing some audio recordings of a few of the songs, and these are currently being mixed down ready to be posted on the site. We'll be adding an audio section to the Multimedia page for this, so keep checking back for updates.

At last night's rehearsal we also filmed a couple of the songs as we worked through them, so depending on the quality of the recordings we'll try to post these up here soon. These will be added to the growing collection on the Videos page.

The Elasticated Waste Band are delighted to announce that a new drummer has now joined the band.

Martin Murray will now be picking up the sticks vacated by Saint Brian, and following a great rehearsal on Tuesday night, things are looking up for the band once again.

A big welcome to you Martin, let the good times roll!

It has unfortunately been confirmed that we will definitely not be playing on Saturday 23rd April.We were trying to arrange another venue for that day, following the cancellation of the gig at the Lexington, but due to other commitments this won't be possible.

Our next gig is now going to be on Tuesday 10th May at the Bowery on New Oxford Street.

Unfortunately our gig at the Lexington on the 23rd April has been postponed.
