WE are THRILLED to be able to SHARE this POWERFUL RECORDING with YOU.
We spent a SURPRISINGLY INDUSTRIOUS weekend with the WONDERFUL OWEN at SICKROOM STUDIOS in deepest, sunniest NORFOLK and recorded a VAST SELECTION of TUNES spanning MANY GENRES and SPEEDS (and turned MOST OF THEM into FAST SKA). SERIOUSLY, we did more than TWENTY songs in ONLY THREE DAYS and crammed in a DARING GIG at the FOX AND HOUNDS in HEACHAM too, which was ALMOST SUBMERGED by FLOODWATERS at the time.
Over the ENTIRETY of this NOBLE EXPEDITION we subsisted only on a MONASTIC DIET of HARIBO, BRIOCHE, TINS of SARDINES, PACKETS of HAM, BANANAS, CUPS of TEA and the COMPLICATED BUFFET SYSTEM at a nearby CHINESE RESTAURANT. We didn't EVEN get THAT PISSED.
This FEAT OF ENDURANCE bore MAGNIFICENT FRUIT which has CURRENTLY only been ENJOYED by EWB BAND MEMBERS and their NEAREST and DEAREST. NOW, to WHET YOUR APPETITE, WE present to YOU the TIP of our MUSICAL ICEBERG: a cover of one of THE KINKS' CLASSICS: 'COME DANCING'.

Ben Ottewell Covers EWB

We are MASSIVELY excited to be able to share this with you...

Ben Ottewell, singer/songwriter, guitarist, frontman extraordinaire of Gomez, has recorded an acoustic cover of our song 'Rise of the Beard'!

Ben recorded the song as part of the process of making his new album 'Rattlebag', which is due out soon. We've had an early copy of the album and it's fantastic.

We've made a little video to go with the song, just clips of us playing, with a brief glimpse of Ben filmed on John's phone at a Gomez gig in Camden!

Hope you like it as much as we do!

And here's our original!
